HORROR FOR THE HOLIDAYS
One of our biggest events of the year, Horror For The Holidays Expo started as a one day Christmas market in 2014 at Spider House Ballroom with 14 vendors. It grew over the years as we moved to bigger venues to welcome more vendors. It now has become a weekend of holiday horror fun and is much like a small horror convention. It features hordes of horror, gothic and dark-themed vendors (usually over 100), Special Guests from the horror genre, the Blood Over Texas Film Fest, Panels & Q&As, Evil Santa, Krampus Parade, Photo Ops, Craft Classes, a Horror Cosplay Contest and Creatures roaming the aisles (provided by local haunted attractions). This all age, family-friendly event features several attractions for the kiddos too: such as, the Necro "Nommie" Cane's Storytime, Coloring Table, Lil' Evil Elves cosplay opportunity and face painting. This is the biggest and longest-running holiday horror shopping market in Austin and is now one of Austin's only horror-specific conventions.
BLOOD OVER TEXAS FILM FEST
Started in 2025, the Blood Over Texas Film Fest takes place during Horror For The Holidays Expo and features nominated horror shorts, Special Guest Q&As, Special Screenings, Filmmaker Panels and meetups and an Award Presentation to wrap up the weekend of festivities.
FRIGHT GALLERY
Fright Gallery is our annual horror art gallery event. This gallery showcases local horror and dark artists that dabble in various art forms (illustration, painting, sculptures, etc.). The event also features live art sets, music/visual presentations, a special themed artist showcase, a unique photo op and other art based attractions.
SLASHDANCE
Slashdance is a horror-themed, retro dance party. Slashers and monsters on the dance floor with retro tunes keeping the crowd dancing the night away. Photo ops, vendors and lasers galore.
SUMMER SLASH
Summer Slash is one of our newest events and features a big INDOOR summer vendor market. Along with the market, the event features bands, movies screenings and a horror-themed car show.
MOVIE SCREENINGS
We produce horror Movie Screening Parties that feature extra attractions to go with the screening. Bands, performers and photo booths are some of our additional attractions. We have worked with independent filmmakers, distributors and movie houses over the years and are proud of our policy to always screen movies with permission or licensing rights.
SPLATTERDROME
Splatterdrome is our music-based event and features a thematic collection of live music and various attractions.
